Today is 119 Fire Safety Day. The First Brigade of Tainan City Fire Bureau has combined a hiking event with a fire and disaster prevention lottery, offering over 500 prizes, including a tablet as the grand prize. The Yanshui Fire Station took visiting kindergarten teachers and students to try out water firefighting and CPR, and visit fire trucks and ambulances.
In recent years, people have become more health-conscious, leading to a surge in hikers during holidays. The First Brigade of Tainan City Fire Bureau has set up fire and disaster prevention awareness signs along hiking trails in its jurisdiction, focusing on key topics such as forest fire prevention, home fire safety, earthquake preparedness, gas usage, residential alarms, and fireworks.
To prevent fire accidents, the First Brigade of the Fire Bureau held an expanded 119 Fire Prevention Awareness Campaign on the 19th, installing fire prevention slogans along the hiking trails of Guanziling’s Dadong Mountain and Jilong Mountain. Ding Chunneng, captain of the First Brigade, said that hikers can take photos of five slogans along the way, scan the QR code, leave a comment and like the post on the brigade’s fan page to participate in a giant sticker game. Prizes include tablets, trekking poles, hot spring vouchers, 3D speakers, headlamps, USB fans, and a total of 586 other prizes.
To show appreciation for firefighters’ hard work, teachers from Xinyu Kindergarten in Yanshui District brought their students to the Yanshui Fire Station to express their gratitude. Captain Shen Guanhong led Huang Wenhao, Su Yuting, Chen Ding?, Lin Jia?, Weng Zhongying, and volunteer firefighter Zhang Xiantai to teach the children about fire safety, how to report emergencies, and essential escape techniques. The kids also got to experience water firefighting, CPR, and visit fire trucks and ambulances.
