Huanghuatan Pagoda is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

This pagoda is an octagonal, solid, thirteen-story dense-eave brick structure built during the Liao Dynasty, standing approximately 32 meters tall.

The southeast face of the pagoda body features a arched doorway, originally fitted with wooden doors (now missing), with painted Buddha and arhat images inside the doorway. The top of the doorway is adorned with carved canopies and flying apsaras. The other seven faces each have a relief-standing figure wearing a red robe, hands placed on the chest, either in prayer or fists, barefoot on lotus petals, with carved canopies atop their heads. The top of the pagoda body is constructed with bracket sets and layers, forming a distinct upper section. The steeple is damaged, with missing parts and faded colors.

In 1985, it was designated as a County-Level Cultural Relics Protection Unit by the People’s Government of Chaoyang County. In May 2013, Huanghuatan Pagoda was announced as part of the Seventh Batch of National Key Cultural Relics Protection Units.

Protected Area: Within 90 meters outside the base of the pagoda.

Construction Control Zone: A Class II Construction Control Zone extends 70 meters beyond the protected area, and a Class III Construction Control Zone extends 30 meters beyond the Class II zone.
