The Manzhouli Railway Port has a total of 31 tracks, including 14 broad-gauge tracks and 17 standard-gauge tracks, with an average daily station storage capacity of over 1,000 railcars. Major warehousing bases with dedicated railway lines include: the bulk and general cargo yard, foreign goods transport warehouse, military warehouse, international intermodal transport warehouse, railway warehousing base, international container warehousing base, import/export goods transshipment station, and oil storage tanks — totaling 8 facilities with a warehousing area of over 600,000 square meters. These offer multiple functions such as storage, transshipment, and reloading. The specialized reloading facilities at the railway port include: the First Mechanical Transshipment Yard, Second Mechanical Transshipment Yard, General Cargo Transshipment Yard, as well as oil cranes, truck cranes, magnetic cranes, forklifts, hydraulic grabs for loading logs, specialized rigging for loading various types of vehicles and containers, transporters for fertilizer and other goods, machinery for reloading bulk fertilizer, pumps for various oils, and end-platforms for self-loading/unloading by trucks and tractors. In recent years, internationally advanced radiation detectors and cobalt-60 train inspection systems have been added, further improving office conditions at the port and enhancing modern inspection capabilities. Currently, the railway port ranks first in freight volume among all national railway ports. In 2000, import/export cargo volume exceeded 5 million tons for the first time, reaching 5.64 million tons, setting a new record high.

The Manzhouli Highway Port was reconstructed in 1990 from the former Sino-Soviet railway staff commuter passage, which was originally a mixed-use channel for both passengers and cargo. In 1993, following an agreement between the two governments, it was relocated and expanded to become the Manzhouli–Khabarovsk International Highway Port. The newly built international highway port has a planned area of 1.5 square kilometers, with the current enclosed port area covering nearly 190,000 square meters. The long-term plan includes 14 channels, with an annual throughput capacity of 3.5 million tons of cargo and 3 million passengers. Currently, Phase I of the project has been completed and put into use, featuring 8 channels with a designed annual capacity of 1 million tons of cargo and 1 million passengers. Key facilities include: a passenger inspection building covering 7,460 square meters, a cargo inspection building of 2,749 square meters, barracks spanning 1,174 square meters, along with supporting import/export goods trading markets and port supervision zones. The new international highway port integrates customs clearance, inspection, warehousing, transportation, and living services, allowing for one-stop completion of inspection declarations and tax payments. The operation of the new international highway port has fundamentally changed the previous situation of limited functionality and outdated facilities at the old port, significantly increasing its throughput capacity and customs clearance efficiency. The number of inbound and outbound travelers has grown rapidly, surpassing 900,000 for the first time in 2000, reaching 940,000, ranking first among national border ports. The newly built Manzhouli International Highway Port has become China’s second-largest international highway port after Shenzhen’s Huanggang Port.
