Dongshan Botanical Garden In front of us is a small hill — the Dongshan Botanical Garden in Manzhouli, which is also the highest point in our city. From here, you can overlook the entire Heping District. At the top of the hill stands a soaring eagle sculpture, 10 meters high, 8 meters wide, and made from 3-meter-thick stainless steel. Using symbolic and exaggerated techniques, it showcases the eagle’s powerful form and its spirit of soaring through the skies. Though it appears calm, it exudes a fierce strength that delivers a powerful emotional impact. To the southeast of the eagle sculpture lies a merit stele, erected during the Republican era by local merchants to commemorate Zhao Chunfang, the first county magistrate of Lübin County. This stele was relocated to this area when the garden was established. Approximately 180 meters south of the eagle sculpture is a stone slab tomb — a cultural relic of the Donghu people — which was moved here from the western shore of Lake Dalinor and preserved in its original form.
