The Manzhouli China-Russia Border Tourism Area is a National AAAAA-level Tourist Attraction.

The Manzhouli China-Russia Border Tourism Area was established in 2014, covering an area of 5 million square meters. It is one of the key branded tourist attractions developed in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and was rated as a National 5A-level Tourist Attraction in October 2016, becoming the third 5A-level attraction in the autonomous region and the first in Hulunbuir. The tourism area is composed of the National Gate Scenic Area and the Matryoshka Scenic Area, bringing together the essence of Chinese red culture, Russian cultural charm, Mongolian Yuan culture, and border trade culture to form a unique tourism, sightseeing, leisure, and vacation destination with distinct northern border characteristics.

The National Gate Scenic Area is the iconic tourist attraction of Manzhouli and a key national red tourism site. The scenic area includes the National Gate, Boundary Marker No. 41, the ruins of the Manzhouli Red Secret Transportation Route, the Red Tourism Exhibition Hall, and the Exhibition Hall of the Sixth National Congress of the Communist Party of China. Among them, the fifth-generation National Gate is currently the largest land port National Gate in China, standing opposite the Russian National Gate, and is a must-visit spot for tourists coming to Manzhouli.

As an important part of the National 5A-level China-Russia Border Tourism Area, the Matryoshka Scenic Area is designed based on the combined history, culture, architecture, and folk customs of Manzhouli and Russia, creating a large-scale Russian-style theme park that integrates dining, accommodation, transportation, sightseeing, shopping, and entertainment. It is the only tourist attraction in China themed around the Russian Matryoshka doll and includes three major themes: themed park areas, themed entertainment, and themed hotels.

Themed Park Areas: Allows visitors to experience the scenery of a foreign city without leaving China and appreciate the wonders of Russian architecture reproduced to scale. The park features six functional zones: the Matryoshka World, Happy Zone, Matryoshka Theater, Russian Folk Experience Hall (Dream Ballet Theater), Russia-Mongolia Performance Theater (Restaurant), and Extreme Adventure Park, meeting the joyful experiences of different visitors. Themed Entertainment: Offers world-renowned Russian circus performance theaters, the Impressions of Matryoshka outdoor live performance, a highly realistic 6D dome flight cinema, a dreamy holographic ballet theater, the Matryoshka Russia-Mongolia Performance Theater, and various high-tech indoor and outdoor amusement facilities, creating a themed entertainment zone that combines distinctive performances with dynamic rides. Themed Hotels: The Matryoshka Hotel is currently the largest resort-themed hotel in the Hulunbuir region, with a construction area of nearly 100,000 m² and a total of 1,188 rooms. The standards include 3-star, 4-star, and 5-star levels. The main building is the world’s largest Matryoshka structure and functions as a distinctive themed hotel integrating dining, accommodation, business, conferences, and tourism.
