The Dajue Chan Temple Scenic Area is a cultural tourism attraction.

Dajue Chan Temple is located within the Dayong Mountain Comprehensive Tourism Area, about 10 kilometers northeast of downtown Manzhouli. To the south lies the ceaselessly flowing “Sacred Spring”—the Thirty Li Spring; to the east is Son Lake, where the Erguna River, Hailar River, and Dalan E’ermu River converge; to the west are two ancient elm trees with mysterious significance that have never dried in a century—the military trenches from the Central Railway War; to the north is Dayong Mountain, which rises over 700 meters above sea level, and the surrounding area is the world-famous Hulunbuir Grassland. Nestled against the mountain and facing the water, the temple enjoys a picturesque setting of shimmering lakes and majestic peaks, gathering the spiritual essence of nature. With its grand momentum, exquisitely carved beams and painted rafters, wafting incense, and radiant Buddha’s light, it has become the most northern temple in China with an imperial grandeur. The construction of Dajue Chan Temple not only reflects the wisdom of the nation’s religious policies but also fulfills the wishes of many devotees. At the same time, it contributes to building a harmonious society, resisting—, promoting Buddhist culture, and adds an important religious and ethnic tourism site to Manzhouli’s tourism industry.

Covering an area of 30,000 square meters with a built-up area of 7,700 square meters, Dajue Chan Temple consists of the mountain gate, bell tower, stele pavilion, Heavenly King Hall, Mahavira Hall, the Three-Faced Guanyin statue, scripture depository, and eight side halls. The temple primarily enshrines statues of Sakyamuni and other Buddhas, including over a hundred gilded Buddha statues. In the open area of the temple stands a 21-meter-tall white marble statue of the Three-Faced Guanyin, which is reputed to be the northernmost such statue in China.
