The Site of the Bailingmiao Uprising is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit, a Classic Red Tourism Destination, and a Patriotic Education Base.

The Site of the Bailingmiao Uprising is located in Bailingmiao Town, the seat of the Darhan Muminggan Joint Banner in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

The site is situated on Daughter’s Mountain to the south of the Abagai River. On January 26, 1936, officers and soldiers of the Upton Guard of the Mongolian Political Council under Prince Demchugdongrub (commonly referred to as Prince De) opposed his alignment with Japanese invaders. Guided by Communists, they were led by Yun Jixian and Zhu Shifu in an armed uprising in Bailingmiao, raising the banner of Mongolian resistance against Japan. A memorial monument now stands atop the mountain. The monument is square pyramid-shaped and 20 meters high.

Bailingmiao Town: Bailingmiao Town is the political, economic, and cultural center of the Darhan Banner. The town covers a total area of 69.7 square kilometers, with an urban area of 4 square kilometers. There are 87 resident government institutions, a total population of 28,300, including 25,300 permanent residents and 3,000 floating residents. The town is divided into 8 community neighborhood committees, 1 village committee, and 11 Party branches. There are currently 259 Party members, including 202 resident Party members, 18 farmers and herders Party members, and 34 Party members among cadres and staff.
