United Airlines unveils new aircraft model: Polaris business class sleep quality gets even better

American airline United Airlines announced that starting August 3, flights between Taiwan and San Francisco will be operated using the new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. This marks the first time United’s 777-300ER model is deployed on routes from Taiwan to the U.S., featuring comprehensive upgrades in both hardware and software, in-flight meals, and lounge services, while ticket prices remain unchanged. The new Boeing 777-300ER is equipped with United Airlines’ specially customized Polaris business class seats, offering a brand-new high-quality sleep experience for intercontinental flights.

Since its launch, the Polaris business class has been very popular among travelers. The Polaris business class seat features a full aisle access, 180-degree flat recline, and a bed space of up to 200 cm when fully reclined, along with a 16-inch high-resolution in-flight entertainment screen. Seats located in the middle of the cabin are also equipped with an adjustable electronic privacy partition, allowing passengers to enjoy greater privacy.

The Polaris business class was introduced on all long-haul international flights on December 1, 2016, offering passengers refined dining options and premium in-flight bedding from Saks Fifth Avenue. In addition, United Airlines will open Polaris business class lounges at nine airports worldwide.
