The former site of the general headquarters of the Second and Sixth Red Army Corps in Pan County is a cultural relic protection unit of Guizhou Province.

The former site of the general headquarters of the Second and Sixth Red Army Corps in Pan County is located on Third Street, Chengguan Town, Pan County, Guizhou Province. The site was built in 1928 by Huang Daobin, a division commander of the Kuomintang forces. It is a two-story wooden structure with a floor area of 824 square meters and a height of 11 meters. The front features a six-panel door, lattice windows, and carved column railings. Because the military frequently stationed here, it was commonly known as “Wu Ying” (Military Camp). Also, due to the building having nine bays, it is also called “Jiu Jian Lou” (Nine-Bay Building) or “Jiu Tian Lou” (Nine-Heaven Building). In the spring of 1936, after successfully completing the Wumeng Mountain maneuver campaign, the Second and Sixth Red Army Corps marched southward, captured Pan County, and made a brief stay there, setting up their general headquarters in the “Nine-Bay Building.” During the Red Army’s time in Pan County, all important meetings were held here. At the end of March 1936, the Second and Sixth Red Army Corps left Guizhou to continue the Long March northward to resist Japan.
