Yingde Tea World

Yingde Tea World is located in Yinghong Town and centers around tea culture as its tourism theme. Yingde, historically known as Yingzhou, is “world-renowned for its black tea production.” It is a famous tea-producing region in China. Situated at Makou in the western suburbs of Yingde City, the Yingde Tea Plant Variety Breeding Demonstration Farm — funded by a special allocation from the National Ministry of Agriculture and designated by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Agriculture as the province's high-aroma tea seedling breeding base — spans over a thousand acres. Surrounded by green hills and shaded by lush trees, the area enjoys fresh, moist air and is often veiled in mist, offering picturesque scenery. It has now been developed into a modern sightseeing tea plantation. Visitors can enjoy the experience of making tea by hand. The black tea produced here is world-famous for its heat-clearing and detoxifying properties, as well as its skin-nourishing benefits. "Yinghong No. 9" has even been used by the British Queen to entertain guests. Visitors can try their hand at the tea-making process themselves.

Yinghong Town: Yinghong Town in Yingde City was established in 1951 and has undergone six administrative transitions: from a “farm — provincial-level 'May 7th' Cadre School — educated youth farm — overseas Chinese farm — overseas Chinese management area — town.” In March 2003, the area was officially restructured from a district into a town under local governance and renamed Yinghong Town. In June 2004, Yunling Town was merged into Yinghong Town while retaining the title “Guangdong Province Yinghong Overseas Chinese Tea Farm,” allowing it to continue benefiting from policies related to overseas Chinese farms.
