Introduction: This refers to the reservoir of the Sanshui Hydropower Station, where the river dam blocks the Yixi River (Yongfeng River), creating a serene lake amid towering gorges. With green mountains and clear waters, gentle ripples on the surface, birdsong in spring, swimming fish in summer, red leaves in autumn, and mountain mists in winter, being on the lake feels like entering a fairyland. A local poet, Mo Ziguang, wrote: "A mighty dam towers high into the sky, blocking the river and calming countless valleys. Treacherous rapids along the county turn into jade-like scenes, and the emerald waters of Yixi become soft glows; forest waves accompany the melodies of Yao songs, while silver threads of electricity play bold music. Boating along the lakeside, the ripples smile gently, offering the utmost delight." Hence, this scenic spot is called "Yaoling Pinghu" (Yaoling Flat Lake).
