Shijiao Danxia Landform

The Shijiao Danxia Landform Natural Scenic Area is located at the southernmost tip of Qingyuan City, Guangdong Province, adjacent to Huadu District in Guangzhou and Sanshui City in Foshan. It falls under the jurisdiction of several village committees in Shijiao Town, including Min'an, Nancun, Matou, and Xiaohe, and is about 60 kilometers from Guangzhou. The Danxia landform spans an area of 6.51 square kilometers and is characterized as low-altitude, low-hill type Danxia landform.

The Shijiao Danxia Landform is divided into three main scenic areas: Liufang Reservoir Scenic Area, Matou Stone Scenic Area, and Shen Stone Scenic Area. Among these, the Matou Stone Scenic Area is further divided into six attractions: Human Head Stone, Princess Rock, Matou Stone, Sunbu Rock, Jiuting Shiba Jing (Nine Halls and Eighteen Wells), and Swallow Rock. Matou Stone, the highest peak of the Danxia landform, is majestic and spectacular. When viewed from the Beijiang River embankment near Qibei Ridge, it resembles a crouching steed. In addition to the grand, steep, rugged, and beautiful red cliffs, the scenic area also features lush green trees and flowing streams, creating picturesque scenes of green mountains, clear waters, red rocks, and dramatic yet serene landscapes that are both enchanting and unforgettable. It is a highly valuable tourist destination for investment and development.
