Glacial Age QQ Drift is located in Zhaxia Village, Feilaixia, Qingyuan City. During his southern journey to Guangdong, the great Song Dynasty literary master Su Dongpo passed through Feilaixia. Hearing the legend of Dayu and Zhongyang opening up the gorge, and taking in the breathtaking scenery of the Feilaixia Gorge, he couldn't help but marvel at its steep and marvelous landscape, believing it to be truly a work of nature’s artistry. Thus, he composed the magnificent lines “Heaven cleaved the Qingyuan Gorge, Earth turned the Emerald Bay,” and from then on, the enchanting beauty of Feilaixia has been celebrated throughout history.

The "Emerald Bay" mentioned in these beautiful verses refers to today’s Zhaxia Village in the Feilaixia Reservoir Bay. Between May and October each summer, visitors to the scenic water’s edge may have the chance to witness the unique natural spectacle described by the phrase “Heaven cleaved the Qingyuan Gorge, Earth turned the Emerald Bay.”

Glacial Age QQ Drift combines a completely new concept with the latest raft design technology. It improves upon the traditional rectangular drift boat, which creates high water resistance, by enlarging the diameter of the round tube’s sides—thus increasing the natural buoyancy force. Riders seated in the QQ-shaped circular drift boat can truly experience the thrilling sensation of drifting on the crest of waves, achieving higher speeds and a stronger surfing feel. Passengers in the rubber raft not only enjoy the excitement of rafting but can also bump into each other, experiencing the super fun “water bumper cars.” The switch to a circular QQ drift boat complements the meandering, ultra-long river course here, allowing riders to fully enjoy the exhilarating thrill of crest surfing throughout the entire ride. The double-seater round tube raft allows participants to choose different seating arrangements, experiencing an unrestrained yet perfectly coordinated adventure. Due to the round tube’s low water resistance, it easily generates rapid spins on the riverbed. When it hits the riverbanks, it instantly changes spin direction, giving participants an experience similar to street racing on land—often creating the thrill of crest surfing, representing a whole new level of rafting.
