Cui Feng Stone Forest Park

“Cui Feng Garden” is actually a natural stone forest park. It lies to the west against “Changlong Ridge,” faces “Imperial Seal Terrace” to the east, and is embraced by rivers on both sides. The area is covered with lush vegetation and towering ancient trees, featuring a highly unique mountainous landscape. Viewed from the south, seven peaks here stand in a row, while on the northern side of the ridgeline, a cluster of jagged honeycombed rocks gathers into a forest, covering an area of tens of thousands of square meters.

Scientific research shows that hundreds of millions of years ago, this area was still a shallow sea. Due to tectonic movements, the seabed was uplifted to become land. The carbonate sediments—limestone—that were originally on the seabed, over the long process of uplift, were continuously eroded, washed, and weathered by seawater and rainwater, gradually forming towering, rugged stone peaks. These oddly shaped, diverse stone peaks eventually formed the vast stone forest landscape seen today.

Winding upward along the labyrinthine paths of the stone forest and passing through the breezy “Tianxing Bridge,” a breathtaking sight awaits—the picturesque beauty of a celestial mountain and jade pool unfolds before you. Beneath the Tianxing Bridge, sheer cliffs rise dramatically, stretching over 300 meters in length and dropping as much as 80 meters in height. The cliff walls, as if hewn by an axe, are dizzying and awe-inspiring. Cliffs, suspension bridges, plank walks, waterfalls, caves, seepage streams, deep pools, rivers, rugged peaks, verdant valleys, and pavilions all come together to decorate the area like a heavenly mountain paradise.
