Qingyuan Feilaixia Rafting is located within the Feilaixia Reservoir area, a place where "clouds laugh beyond the thousand mountains, and boats plow through vast waves." It lies 80 kilometers south of Guangzhou and just a 30-minute drive north from Yingde City, connected by water to the Beijiang River. Rafting in Qingyuan’s Feilaixia not only offers breathtaking scenery but also an exciting and joyful experience in the wilderness.

The starting point of Qingyuan Feilaixia Rafting is beneath a giant waterfall, descending 5.6 kilometers in length. It is divided into three sections: "Waterfall Brave Rafting," "Passionate & Bold Rafting," and "Dynamic Beach Rafting." With its winding, zigzagging rapids and fast-flowing waters, this is undoubtedly a thrilling and exhilarating journey.

Alright, our rafting adventure is about to begin. We start with the Waterfall Brave Rafting, launching right beneath a spectacular and enchanting waterfall. Giant waves suddenly rush down due to the drop, and droplets of water come flying at us thick and fast. All we can do is hold tightly onto the rubber raft. The boat speeds down the channel like an arrow released from a bow, then dives headfirst into the water like a submarine. When it resurfaces, we’re completely soaked. Though we may look a bit disheveled, looking back at the rushing rapids fills us with a proud sense of being real "braves." This is the "Waterfall Brave Rafting" of Feilaixia.

Next, having just survived the turbulent rapids, we plunge into dense forests as we continue along the winding rafting route. The gentle bobbing of the boat through the quiet woods is soothing—so much so that you might even let it drift freely and take a moment to stretch your back. But hold on, even more thrilling moments lie ahead~

The brave ones start a water fight here, scooping water out of their rafts with small ladles and splashing it at others. You splash me, I splash you, with water droplets flying overhead. Some people find that not exciting enough and simply stand in the stream, splashing river water around.

Splash away with all your might—no need to dodge, no need to choose targets. Just splash anyone you see, whether you know them or not. The goal is to have fun. In no time, the wide, calm valley has turned into a joyous sea of laughter.

Take a look at our "war boats"—they’ve turned into giant bathtubs, with the cabins completely filled with water. Although the strong buoyancy of the raft keeps it afloat, we decide it’s time for a break. First, we clear out the accumulated water inside the raft, then take some time to relax and calm our still-racing hearts after the recent thrill. As for me, I have an unexpected little bonus.

After the break, the brave souls set off again, ready to tackle the most intense part of the rafting: the "Passionate & Bold Rafting." It begins with a calm, wave-free stretch, but signs warn of an upcoming 20-meter drop. Even more daunting is the fact that drifting downstream from upstream, all we can see is the water rushing down and hear the thunderous roar, with no clue as to what lies below—adding an inexplicable tension to the experience.

We plunge over a cliff more than 20 meters high, twisting and turning as we dive into a valley filled with massive rocks below, forming the thrilling "Dragon Gate Pass." Going over the waterfall feels almost weightless as your body rapidly descends. The boat seems to lose control as it speeds through the cliffs and waves, crashing down into the valley. All we can do is grip the boat’s edge and scream.

After the heart-pounding yet safe journey, we reach stretches of open sandy beaches as we enter the final section of the rafting: Dynamic Beach Rafting. The inflatable rafts leisurely float along the stream, making for a quite relaxing ride. The air is filled with the fragrance of wildflowers, the refreshing scent of negative ions, the serene beauty of lush mountain streams, and the gentle sound of flowing water. Watching others brave the rapids from here brings a sense of transcendent enjoyment.
