Feixia Mountain is a provincial-level scenic spot and a provincial-level tourist resort. The area boasts beautiful mountains and rivers, as well as numerous historical sites. With seventy-two peaks stretching along both sides of the river, the landscape features strikingly rugged peaks. The winding river rushes through the land, creating a natural beauty that can be described as “a single stream flowing far to the sea, and two towering mountains reaching into the clouds.” This travel route features Feixia Mountain, the Beijiang Minor Three Gorges, Feihu, the Feixia Bixi Drifting, valley exploration, and the Ice and Snow Dreamland. It offers a comprehensive experience of mountain and water adventures, boating on the Beijiang River, tasting local river delicacies, and savoring the flavors of Qingyuan.

Located upstream of the Feilaixia Gorge, Feixia Mountain is a site where Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism converge, and is one of Guangdong’s eight famous mountains. It mainly consists of three parts: the Feixia Cave, the Cangxia Cave, and the Jinxia Chan Monastery.

The Feixia Cave is surrounded by mountains and is renowned for its majestic architecture. The Cangxia Cave is built within a secluded valley of dense forest, where clouds and rosy light linger for long periods, causing the temple to appear and disappear intermittently—hence its name. The Jinxia Chan Monastery is embraced by green mountains, with ancient trees towering above and a stream meandering in front of the courtyard, where peach blossoms sway gently, creating a serene atmosphere like a paradise on earth. Feixia Mountain also features more than 30 attractions such as the Songfeng Sun-Watching Pavilion, the Changtian Pagoda, the Xiu Xing Retreat, the Dengji Bridge, the Dizi Temple, the Xixin Waterfall, and the Feishuitan Landscape Swimming Pool. During the Spring Festival every year, a richly programmed “Feixia Temple Fair” and flower appreciation event are held. With its surrounding mountains, deep valleys, dense forests, flowing streams, and high concentration of negative ions in the air, it is an ideal destination for summer retreats, leisure, and reconnecting with nature.

Feixia Mountain (a natural oxygen bar and a stunningly beautiful forest park): Covering an area of 52 square kilometers, Feixia Mountain features deep forests, serene valleys, flowing streams, blooming flowers, and uniquely shaped peaks and rocks. It is a comprehensive scenic area integrating entertainment and accommodation. The Feixia Cave is surrounded by mountains and is famed for its grand architecture. The temple buildings are constructed along the mountain slope in tiered levels, rising up to seven stories high, giving off an awe-inspiring presence reminiscent of the Potala Palace and an illusion of almost soaring into the sky. After rain, purple mist often rises from the mountain valley and drifts above the temple buildings, ethereal and mysterious—thus the name “Feixia” (Flying Rosy Clouds). The statues enshrined inside the temple are vividly crafted and highly valuable. It is one of the few and the largest religious sites in Lingnan where the “Three Teachings” (Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism) coexist. The ancient cave houses the patriarchs of the three religions as well as various deities and immortals, with a construction area of over 20,000 square meters. The Cangxia Cave is built within a secluded valley of dense forest, where clouds and rosy light linger for long periods, causing the temple to appear and disappear intermittently—hence its name. The main hall’s roof tile is adorned with a precious jewel that aligns perfectly in a straight line with the peak of the Luoxing Ridge in front and a natural stone Buddha on the mountain behind the temple—a unique design touch. Within the courtyard stands a centuries-old rare flower, the Yutangchun, which was planted by decree of a Ming Dynasty emperor and is considered extremely precious.

Feixia Mountain also features more than 30 attractions such as the Songfeng Sun-Watching Pavilion, the Changtian Pagoda, the Xiu Xing Retreat, the Dengji Bridge, the Dizi Temple, the Xixin Waterfall, and the Feishuitan Landscape Swimming Pool.
