Former Site of Qingyuan Machinery Factory

The former site of Qingyuan Machinery Factory is located at No. 47, Huancheng Second Road, Qingyuan City. Established in 1956, it was a local state-owned enterprise formed by the merger of a number of private enterprises dating back to the late 1940s. It produced equipment for numerous power plants, factories, and agricultural machinery stations across Qingyuan, becoming a leading enterprise that drove the region's industrial development. Its products were sold throughout the province and across the country. In 1996, it was transformed into a joint-stock enterprise named Qingyuan Dananfang Foundry & Machinery Co., Ltd. The site still retains old factory buildings such as the heavy machinery workshop, parts workshop, forging workshop, and general warehouse, along with original equipment and technical documents. It stands as an important witness to the history of modern industrial development in the Qingyuan area.
