The Bijia Mountain Rafting is located within the Qingyuan Bijia Mountain Tourism Resort. The resort features lush green mountains, pristine waters, sparse population, and rich vegetation. The 75-square-kilometer area is home to just over 2,000 residents, all living on the edges of the forested mountains, while the interior remains an entirely undeveloped natural scenic area.

Most of Bijia Mountain consists of rocky terrain with shallowly weathered soil, featuring multiple peaks enclosing valleys where water and mountain landscapes merge. From spring to early autumn, white-necked long-tailed pheasants, civets, and raccoon dogs can often be spotted in the forests. From summer to early autumn, the temperature here is pleasantly mild, with a difference of 4–5°C compared to downtown Guangzhou. Hidden within this pristine landscape is an ideal canyon rafting experience. The Bijia Mountain Canyon Rafting is a whitewater rafting route, which was discovered in May and June 1999 and first tested in July of the same year.

One unique feature of the Bijia Mountain Canyon Rafting is that it is available all year round. This is made possible by the water control dam built along the rafting river, which regulates water flow to ensure safety during sudden mountain floods and maintains adequate water levels during dry seasons. Safety is a top priority for rafting enthusiasts, and at every thrilling spot along the Bijia Mountain Canyon Rafting course, safety personnel are stationed to assist rafters in navigating the rapids smoothly.

The Bijia Mountain Canyon Rafting is divided into two sections: the upstream "Warrior Rafting" and the downstream "Leisure Rafting," both using two-person rubber rafts. The Leisure Rafting stretch is 6 kilometers long and takes about 2 hours. The river conditions here are relatively gentle, with drops generally under 1 meter, normal water depth of 40–50 centimeters, and all rapids and pools within the tolerance of the general public, making it suitable for all age groups. However, there are still a few exciting rapids in the Leisure section, all thrilling yet safe. With green mountains and clear waters on both sides, you can enjoy the relaxing rafting experience while freely admiring the beautiful scenery of streams and rivers, lingering amid emerald waters, green hills, shaded areas, and white waterfalls. For Leisure Rafting, only a life jacket is required. Warrior Rafting, on the other hand, is far more exhilarating.

The upstream Warrior Rafting covers 2.5 kilometers and takes about 40 minutes. This section features large drops, fast currents, and numerous bends. Some joke that there are around 40 surges—big and small—within those 40 minutes. The Warrior Rafting section has more rugged original rocks, about a dozen dangerous turns, and the water flow is more than five times stronger than in the Leisure section, with the maximum drop reaching 2.5 meters and the river at its widest being 3 meters. High rapids and steep drops abound, with countless rocky outcrops, offering thrills and excitement.
