It is a key centrally developed town in Guangdong Province and a historically established town with over 2,000 years of history. Geographically, it borders Guangzhou and Foshan to the south, is adjacent to Zhaoqing to the west, lies close to downtown Qingyuan, and is 26 kilometers from Qingxin County. The Qingxi First-Class Highway runs through the town, while the Sankeng River, a tributary of the Beijiang River, flows from north to south, making it a historically significant border town of Qingyuan.
