Xiajing Village is located in Xiajing Village, Liujia Cave Village Committee, Jintan Town, Qingxin County, covering an area of 0.19 square kilometers. Walking into the village along the country road feels like stepping into a legendary Shangri-La. The village is surrounded by mountains on three sides, gathering energy and sheltering from the wind. Behind the village stands a towering peak, resembling a giant open sky book—its pages just right, like a natural barrier shielding the village from the cold winter winds. To the east, a striking peak soars into the clouds, lifting the moon at dawn. To the west, gently sloping hills are covered with lush trees, blocking the scorching afternoon sun. Only the southern valley is flat and open, where a gentle southern breeze brings a touch of fairyland. Existing structures include the Fuching Zou Ancestral Hall and residential houses. The Fuching Zou Ancestral Hall features a recessed entrance with plain stone door sockets, wooden door frames, and a wooden plaque inscribed “Fuching Zou Ancestral Hall.” The walls are adorned with colorful floral and bird paintings, and inside, a screen door bears the inscription “Chunxuan Bimao” (meaning both parents are thriving). The residences have gable-and-hip roofs, are built with brick and wood, and have stone-paved lanes. In front of the homes are courtyards and crescent-shaped feng shui ponds. Two pairs of ancient flagpole bases stand in the center of the courtyard. Villagers say that in the past, during festivals, the clan flags were raised and lion dances performed to solemnly worship their ancestors.
