Baimipu Village is located at the Baimipu Village Committee in Sankeng Town, Qingxin County, covering an area of 3.24 square kilometers. Existing structures include the Zhu Clan Ancestral Hall, the Yingxiang Gate Tower, and residential buildings. During the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty, members of the Zhu clan built the Zhu Clan Ancestral Hall to honor their ancestors. The hall faces northeast and is situated southwest, featuring three bays and five sections, with a total width of 13.33 meters, a total depth of 56.3 meters, and covering a floor area of 748.8 square meters. In front of the ancestral hall lies a courtyard and a pond. The courtyard currently has one flagpole base stone inscribed with “Erected by Zhu Xianzhang, who ranked second in the Guangxi Pacification Right Battalion as a Provincial Graduate in the Qianlong Jiayin Imperial Examination,” and a pair of flagpole base stones inscribed with “Erected by Zhu Ruzhen, who ranked second in the Palace Examination and was appointed as a Compiler after passing the Guangxu Jiachen Imperial Examination.” The building features a flush-gable roof with grey-plastered decorative ridges, and the first four sections have gable walls with pot-style roof ornaments. The first gate, known as the Dongguan Mansion, is three bays wide and nine rafters deep (6.3 meters), with a double-step corridor in front supported by bracket arms and arches carrying the front corridor beams. The beam brackets are carved with auspicious animals, flowers, and antique motifs, and the bracket arms feature dragon-fish supports. The wooden beams are intricately carved with floral designs and adorned with uniquely shaped animal-shaped brackets. The eaves are decorated with grey-plastered lotus patterns. Inside, there is a screen door with a red-background, gold-character wooden plaque inscribed “Dongguan Mansion.” The side bays contain podiums. The second section is the Dunlun Hall, three bays wide and eleven rafters deep (7 meters), with purlins supported by column blocks. The corridor beams feature dragon-fish supports, and the beams and brackets are exquisitely carved with floral, bird, and human figures, alongside stone front eaves columns and interior columns. The main bay beams and brackets are carved with auspicious animals, birds, and cloud motifs, and feature seven-tiered brackets. A red-background, gold-character wooden plaque inscribed “Dunlun Hall” hangs from the beams. In front of the Dunlun Hall is a courtyard and two corridors, with newly constructed corridor ridges. The third section is three bays wide and eleven rafters deep (7 meters), with purlins supported by column blocks. It also has a courtyard and two corridors in front, with the corridors featuring six-rafter arched roofs. The fourth section’s front gate is a recessed-door style facade, with wall paintings depicting the Eight Immortals Drinking. It is thirteen rafters deep (7.7 meters) and has a three-step rear corridor. The fifth section is three bays wide and seventeen purlins deep (5.68 meters), featuring a wooden beam structure with ancestral tablets enshrined inside. It is said that in the past, there were study rooms on both sides of the ancestral hall, one in each section. After the liberation, this site served as the campus of Baimipu Primary School. During the Cultural Revolution, the rear section and some auxiliary structures were demolished, and more were removed when the building was used as a school and brigade headquarters. In 1990, descendants of the Zhu clan built a new “Baimipu Primary School,” leading to the official relocation of the original school from the ancestral hall. In 1995, the rear section was rebuilt. The ancestral hall faces east to welcome the auspicious energy of the rising sun, hence the construction of the Yingxiang Gate Tower. The overall layout of the ancestral hall is largely intact and exhibits distinct Lingnan artistic style. The flagpole base stones erected during the Guangxu reign are valuable physical materials for studying the life of Zhu Ruzhen. In December 2010, the Zhu Clan Ancestral Hall and Yingxiang Gate were designated as cultural heritage protection units of Qingxin County.
