Former site where wounded soldiers of the Red Seventh Army recuperated

On February 1, 1931, -, Zhang Yunyi, and Li Mingrui led the Red Seventh Army through Meihua Market in the county. On February 2, they engaged in fierce battle with enemy forces and left over 40 wounded soldiers in Tietoulong Village, Daqiao Town. For safety, local residents moved the wounded to a secluded valley in Qutan Mountain, seven kilometers east of the village, to recuperate. In September, apart from two Red Army soldiers who succumbed to severe injuries and three who were left in the Yao Mountains and protected by local Yao people, the rest recovered and returned to the Jiangxi Soviet Area in three separate groups via detours. The two soldiers who died from their wounds were buried locally.
