Huanglong Scenic Area

Huanglong Scenic Area is situated in Bi Bei Town, about 60 kilometers (by road) from the county town. The Yangxi River winds through the high mountains, and the scenic area boasts verdant peaks, layered mountain ranges, and precipitous crimson cliffs that are extraordinarily majestic. Green pines often stand beside rocks, elegant bamboo sways gently, the river flows peacefully, and the boldness of the mountains and the stark beauty of the red cliffs create a picturesque landscape reminiscent of traditional Chinese ink paintings. Huanglong Scenic Area features a high-mountain gorge landform of sandstone and shale, where unique peaks, sheer cliffs, and peculiar rocks form a variety of landscapes, including numerous striking sights such as Huanglong (Yellow Dragon), Huangfeng (Yellow Phoenix), Fairy Asking the Golden Turtle, as well as Wine Pot Rock and Penholder Peak.
