The Xiandemen Qixia (Tianjingshan Immortal Bridge) Scenic Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

The Tianjingshan Immortal Bridge Scenic Area is situated in Luoyang Town, Ruyuan Yao Autonomous County. With its pristine ecology and enchanting scenery, the area offers more than ten attractions featuring unique and picturesque landscapes. It is a culturally profound, fairy-tale-like destination that encompasses karst mountains and rivers, the Xijing Ancient Road, and celestial palaces, serving as an ideal place for leisure tourism, scientific adventure, and summer retreats.

Located in Luoyang Town, Ruyuan County, the scenic area covers a total area of 12 square kilometers and serves as the gateway to the Ruyuan Grand Canyon. It features a dozen attractions, including the renowned “No.1 Cave Heaven Under the Sky”—the Immortal Cave—and spectacular open-air stalactites, as well as the clear waters of Yama Lake. What sets this site apart from other attractions is its profound historical and cultural heritage. The Immortal Bridge within the scenic area is a must-cross bridge along the Xijing Ancient Road. The ancient scholar Han Yu once traveled this route to Shaoguan to benefit the people, leaving behind a legacy of mystery. To this day, local villagers continue to offer incense in his honor.

Nestled among green trees on high mountain slopes are two natural limestone karst bridges—one large and one small. The larger bridge stands 70 meters high, 50 meters wide, and 150 meters long. Nature’s masterful craftsmanship has shaped this spectacular, steep, and perilous Immortal Bridge amid the cliffs. Standing atop the bridge fills one with a refreshing sense of transcendence, as if detached from the world and on the verge of becoming immortal. At the entrance of the large bridge’s Immortal Cave, a range of peaks stretches out like a lion gazing southward. The “lion” is about 38 meters tall and 60 meters long, with its head and eyes formed naturally through the erosion of limestone, creating the unique sight of a “lion looking back.”

The main attraction, the Immortal Bridge, stands approximately 138 meters high, with an inner arch spanning 106 meters, a width of 53 meters, and a length of 156 meters. The breathtaking beauty of nature here is truly awe-inspiring. Standing at the top of the bridge evokes a feeling of being detached from the world and on the path to immortality—truly a heavenly view and an earthly paradise.

The scenic area is crisscrossed with streams and crystal-clear flowing waters, keeping Yama Lake shimmering and mirror-flat year-round. Boating on the lake, paddling bamboo rafts, or playing in the water will bring endless joy.

Luoyang Town: Located in the northwest of Ruyuan Yao Autonomous County, Luoyang Town borders Dongping Town to the east, Dabu and Yingde (a county-level city) in Qingyuan City’s Boluo Town to the south, Jiangying Town and Chengjia Yao Ethnic Township in Yangshan County, Qingyuan City to the west, and the Guangdong Ruyang Forestry Bureau to the north. It is a high-altitude mountainous town primarily focused on agriculture. In May 2005, it merged with Gumasui Town, covering a total land area of 325 square kilometers.
