Nanshui Hunting Ground (Ruyuan Hunting Ground)

Nanshui Hunting Ground is located by the Nanshui Reservoir, about 16 kilometers southwest of Ruyuan County, and is home to Guangdong’s first natural hunting ground. The mountainous forest terrain here remains largely undeveloped, boasting rich ecological resources. Among the endless stretches of over ten hills of varying sizes, natural shrubs such as pine trees, tung trees, and bamboo are widespread, making it a great spot for hunting enthusiasts to hunt wild boars and other small birds and animals.

Built alongside the Nanshui Reservoir, the scenery of lake and mountain is refreshing and delightful. Most visitors who come here for hunting choose to stay overnight in hotels near the scenic area or in the homes of Yao people in the mountains, fully enjoying the dual pleasures of hunting and sightseeing.
