Daling Mountain Ecotourism Area

The Daling Mountain Autonomous Region-level Forest Park is located in the northern part of Linxi County, under the jurisdiction of the Daling Mountain Forest Farm in Linxi County, with a planned construction area

of 6,000 hectares. Major scenic areas include the Daling Mountain Reservoir, the Natural Secondary Forest Scenic Area, the Beidashan Scenic Area, and the Jinjiabao Ancient Great Wall. Key attractions include Tiger Head Rock, Cockscomb Rock, Stone Man Mountain, the ruins of the Jinjiabao, as well as the primeval spruce forest. Daling Mountain is part of the southeastern extension of the Greater Khingan Mountains and possesses the distinctly northern characteristics of ruggedness, majesty, vastness, and grandeur—traits that are especially pronounced here. The seasons are particularly distinct, encompassing warmth, heat, coolness, and cold, with a predominance of cool and cold. Just as the flowers, grasses, trees, and vegetation are at their greenest and most vibrant, bursting with life, an early morning frost can suddenly arrive, rapidly cooling the mountains, rocks, and plants. Then, under the warm midday sun, they come alive again. Alternating between cold and hot, day and night, the area displays the most vivid and splendid symphony of life’s colors.
