Baiyinchagan Site

The Baiyinchagan Site is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

The Baiyinchagan Site is located on the eastern hillside of the north bank of the Xilamulun River, approximately 0.5 kilometers south of Baiyinchagan Village in Shuangjingdian Township, Linxi County, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It was discovered in 1986 during the construction of the Ping-Shuang Highway (from Pingquan County in Hebei Province to Shuangjingdian Township in Linxi County, Inner Mongolia). After three excavations in 1988, 1989, and 1991, the total exposed area reached 7,257 square meters. The cultural remains include those from the Xiaohexi Culture, the Nantaizi Type of the Xinglongwa Culture, the Baiyinchagan Type of the Xinglongwa Culture, the Zhaobaogou Culture, the Xihuangshan Type, the Hongshan Culture, and the Xiaoheyan Culture. Hongshan Culture relics are found throughout the site, including 17 house foundations, 33 ash pits, and 6 tombs. The artifacts are rich and diverse, featuring a wide variety and significant variation. In May 2013, it was designated as part of the seventh batch of National Key Cultural Relics Protection Units by the State Council.
