Gaopugang Subdistrict: The State-owned Gaopugang Farm was established in 1959 and was under the direct administration of the Provincial Farming Reclamation Bureau. In 1969, it was transferred to the jurisdiction of the Huizhou Prefecture; after 1973, it came under the administration of Heyuan County as a separately managed unit. In 1981, it was designated by the former Heyuan County as an administrative and enterprise entity. In 1988, when Heyuan became a city and districts were established, it was placed under the jurisdiction of Yuanzhou District.
