Pubei Sanjiaoling Battle Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery is a classic red tourism destination and a patriotic education base.

Pubei Sanjiaoling Battle Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery is located on Laobai Mountain, Liantangling Village, Pubei Town, Yuanzhou District, Heyuan City.

On the night of September 18, 1949, the Nationalist 196th Division, stationed in Heyuan City, seeing that the situation was hopeless, abandoned the city and fled southward along the Xindeng Highway (now part of National Highway 205) under the cover of night, intending to regroup with remnants of the Nationalist 154th Division, Security 5th Division, and others in the Pubei and Shibei area. Our Independent 6th Regiment and 4th Detachment of the Guangdong–Jiangxi–Hunan Border Column, following the orders of Commander Lin Ping and Chief of Staff Yan Shangmin of the Border Column, immediately set off in pursuit after a brief rest upon entering Heyuan City. On the 20th, they caught up with the rear of the enemy forces in Baitian, engaging them while chasing. The 3rd Detachment of the Dongjiang Column pursued the enemy from the flank via the Pingling area. Our frontal pursuers, the 6th Regiment and 4th Detachment of the Border Column, chased the 196th Division all the way to Pubei, then occupied the high ground of Sanjiaoling, where they fought fiercely with the enemy for two days and three nights. This battle killed or wounded over 300 enemy troops, including one deputy regimental commander and one battalion commander. After the Battle of Sanjiaoling, the entire territory of Heyuan was liberated.

To commemorate this battle and honor the 17 revolutionary martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the great battle, with approval from higher authorities, the former Heyuan County People’s Government erected a monument on Sanjiaoling in Pubei in 1959. The names of 12 local heroes from Pubei who had sacrificed their lives from the First Revolutionary Civil War until the founding of New China were inscribed on the monument. In October 1994, due to the expansion of National Highway 205, the Yuanzhou District government relocated the monument from beside the highway to Laobai Mountain in Liantangling Village (its current location), adding the names of eight heroes who had sacrificed their lives while serving in the military after the liberation. In 2011, to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party, the Yuanzhou District Committee and District Government renovated and expanded the monument, completing the project at the end of June.

The Pubei Sanjiaoling Battle Martyrs' Cemetery is an important memorial site for honoring martyrs and a venue for patriotic education in the surrounding region.

Pubei Town: Pubei Town is located at the southern end of Yuanzhou District, Heyuan City. It borders Linjiang Town of Zijin County to the east, Shibei Town of Boluo County to the south, Guishan to the west, and Yuannan Town to the north.

It administers 16 administrative villages—Hebei, Yangzikeng, Nanpi, Shuangtou, Zhongtian, Chiling, Liantangling, Pingwei, Pubei, Shangcun, Gaowei, Beijiao, Gaopu, Datang, Nijin, and Luotang—and one market town community. The total area of the jurisdiction is 162 square kilometers, with 26,000 mu of arable land and 96,000 mu of forested land.
