The Bronze Age Site at Baolou Mountain is located in Longgangpu, Baolou Village, Dongyong Town. In 1938, the Italian priest Father McZhaohan collected stone molds used for casting bronze axes, bronze bells, and bronze hairpins, as well as artifacts such as kuí-pattern pottery and a small number of cord-marked pottery fragments at the Baolou Mountain site. During the 1984 cultural relics survey, no bronze ware or molds for casting bronze were found at the site; however, a polished stone adze was discovered. The nearby Yangguling Mountain in the vicinity of the site contains tin and steel ore deposits, and the presence of stone molds for casting bronze confirms that the local inhabitants of Baolou Mountain had a history of mining dating back to the Bronze Age.
