Pingqing Lake

Pingqing Lake is located southeast of the urban area and serves as a sheltered bay for fishing boats in Shanwei. The lake features a vast expanse of water, currently covering an area of 22 square kilometers. The area enjoys good transportation access, with Binhai Avenue and Binhu Avenue encircling Pingqing Lake. The future development goal of the Pingqing Lake tourist area is to establish it as the “First Lake on Guangdong’s Coast” characterized by and centered around its unique aquatic culture. According to a “two zones and one belt” tourism spatial structure, it is divided into a water-based leisure and entertainment zone, the Liyuwei Wetland Park, and the lakeside scenic belt.

Pingqing Lake is serene and tranquil, resembling the graceful beauty of Xi Shi. In the distance, the majestic statue of Mazu atop Fengshan Mountain overlooks Pingqing Lake, cradling the “Daughter Bay” like a mother, offering a sense of peace and safety.
