The Bronze Statue of Martyr Peng Pai is a classic attraction on China's red tourism routes.

The Bronze Statue of Martyr Peng Pai was placed in the center of Hongchang on October 18, 1986, and unveiled on October 22, the 90th anniversary of Peng Pai’s birth.

The statue faces south (toward the main gate of Hongchang), and the base is made of neatly arranged granite slabs, standing 2.3 meters high, 2 meters long, and 1.7 meters wide. The central plaque on the front bears the inscription “Statue of Martyr Peng Pai” calligraphed by Marshal…

April 4, 1986”. Below that is inscribed “Erected by Haifeng County People’s Government on October 22, 1986”. The back bears the four characters “Sculpted by Pan He”.

On top of the base stands a full-body bronze statue of Martyr Peng Pai, which is 3.2 meters tall (5.5 meters including the base) and weighs 2 tons. Its design features Peng Pai wearing a Western suit, with legs naturally apart, hands on hips, and the upper body tilted slightly backward to the right (facing the statue). His facial expression is firm and composed, reflecting the noble image of Comrade Peng Pai.

The statue was sculpted by Pan He, a sculptor from the Guangdong Academy of Fine Arts, and cast by the Foshan Ductile Iron Foundry. The total cost was approximately 70,000 yuan.
