The Huang Family Ancestral Residence is a cultural relic protection unit of Huizhou City.

The Huang Family Ancestral Residence is located at No. 54 Jindai Street, covering an area of 221 square meters. It has a two-courtyard structure. In the left wing room of the courtyard, there is a well dating back to the Ming Dynasty. The well’s stone rim, made from red sandstone, has been worn uneven by centuries of use but remains well-preserved without any cracks. To the southwest behind the house is the back door of the Zhang family residence. The well never dries up, and the water is clear, cool, and still drinkable to this day. The well is remarkably well-preserved for a Ming Dynasty structure within such an ancient residence, which is quite rare.
