Baihuazhou is located near Mingyue Bay of West Lake and is connected to the Long Bridge. During the Zhengde era of the Ming Dynasty, when Gan Gongliang served as the prefect of Huizhou, he built the Luoxia Pavilion on the islet. The pavilion has been renovated many times, and from its windows on all sides, one can enjoy panoramic views of the lake and surrounding hills. A newly created flower corridor is planted with a wide variety of famous blooms, along with rare and exotic flowers and trees on display. The potted plants stand gracefully, making the place more charming than a mere "flower islet."
