Xiapu Riverside Park

Xiapu Riverside Park is located by the Xizhi River in the center of Huizhou. Construction began in late 1997, and the park was completed in June 1998 as part of the first phase of the Two Rivers and Four Banks renovation project.

This open park integrates greening, flood control, leisure, and historical-cultural elements. Combining embankments, roads, and green spaces, it is a comprehensive park for activities, leisure, tourism, and flood prevention, covering a total area of 177,500 square meters. It serves as a cultural venue for large-scale performances and events. In 1998, it was recognized as one of Guangdong Province’s first “Top Ten” cultural squares. As an open leisure park, Xiapu Riverside Park hosts a variety of colorful activities each year, such as performances and movie screenings. Thanks to the openness and public benefit of its cultural programs, it consistently attracts large crowds of visitors.
