Ciyun Library

Huizhou Ciyun Library is the largest library in eastern Guangdong. This modern library, integrating book collections, lending services, information consultation, cultural research, education and training, as well as cultural leisure, was originally established as the Huizhou Library (initially called Fenghu Book Depository) in 1886. It is one of the few century-old libraries in the province with a rich historical heritage and an extensive collection of ancient books.

Ciyun Library is located behind the Huizhou Municipal Government. The construction site covers an area of 22,438 square meters. The entire building features a rational and practical functional layout, with good natural lighting and wide evacuation routes. The structure is designed in a “Bing”-shaped form, facing northwest, with the central rooftop adorned by the shape of an open book, making it a landmark building in downtown Huizhou.
