Huizhou Science and Technology Museum is a national AAA-level tourist attraction and a science education base.

Huizhou Science and Technology Museum is one of the eight key people's livelihood projects launched by the Huizhou Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government. Construction began in August 2006, and the main structure was completed in April 2008. Located at No. 1 West Minle Road, Jiangbei District, it is a large-scale comprehensive science and technology museum covering an area of 37,100 square meters with a total building area of 18,070 square meters, an exhibition area of approximately 13,064 square meters, a building height of 35.5 meters, and a total project investment of about 180 million yuan.

The main building of Huizhou Science and Technology Museum has four floors. The first floor is the main exhibition area, which includes the lobby and Exhibition Halls A and B, featuring 8 thematic exhibition zones: Classic Science, Energy & Petrochemicals, Electronics & Information, Frontier Technology, Space Exploration, Earth Home, Life Mysteries, and Enlightenment Science. These zones house over 240 audiovisual and interactive exhibits. Additionally, there are two special cinemas in the two main halls: Laser Cinema and Dream Theater. Floors two and four are dedicated to various youth science and technology activities and practical spaces, including an astronomical observatory, a science model activity center, a robotics activity center, an animation room, a brain teaser toy room, and a porcelain painting room. The third floor hosts thematic exhibition areas on urban planning, ecology & wildlife specimens, and scientific and technological achievements, showcasing the city’s most advanced research results and high-tech products. It also features science lecture halls and exchange rooms for science communication. The spherical building houses a science network room, a DIY photography room, and a 4D cinema with 60 seats.

With the theme of “Exploration · Voyage,” Huizhou Science and Technology Museum resembles a giant ship sailing the waves, reflecting the municipal government’s vision of building a science outreach vessel for public benefit. The museum fully meets the diverse needs of science exhibitions, education, training, practice, academic exchange, and science and technology cultural activities.
