Baipenzhu Hot Spring Resort is located in Hengjiang Village, Baipen Town, Huidong County, Huizhou City, Guangdong Province. The main hot spring area covers nearly 40,000 square meters of granite-covered ground, featuring over 20 hot spring sources. The water temperature and flow rate vary among these sources. Some with lower temperatures are clear enough to see fish swimming, while others reach around 60 degrees Celsius. The central source can heat up to 80 degrees Celsius — hot enough to boil an egg or loosen feathers on chickens and ducks for plucking. Locals have long used these springs for bathing to improve health and vitality.

Baipenzhu Hot Spring is a sodium metasilicate spring, free of sulfur. The water is crystal clear and, upon testing, is rich in elements such as metasilicic acid, sodium, and chlorine. The hot spring lies in Hengjiang Village, which is also home to the auxiliary dam of the Baipenzhu Reservoir, less than 1 kilometer from the spring. The reservoir has a water surface area of 40 square kilometers and a capacity of 1.19 billion cubic meters. Boating tours from the auxiliary dam offer expansive views resembling a highland lake or an inland sea, suitable for water activities such as yachts, speedboats, seaplanes, and parachuting. Many small islands dot the reservoir, providing opportunities for hunting and camping. Upstream of the reservoir stands the thousand-year-old Xilai Temple, accessible by speedboat for visitors to explore.
