Imperial View Peak National Forest Park is a national-level forest park.

Imperial View Peak National Forest Park is located within the state-owned Lianghua Forest Farm in Huizhou City, Guangdong Province. It lies at the junction of Huidong County and Huicheng District in the northeastern part of Huizhou City, as well as Zijin County in Heyuan City, on the southern side of the Tropic of Cancer. To the east, it borders Songkeng Town in Huidong County; to the south, it connects with the Gutian Provincial Nature Reserve; to the west, it adjoins Dalan Town in Huicheng District; and to the north, it lies against Shangyi Town in Zijin County, Heyuan City. The park is 53 kilometers from downtown Huizhou, 32 kilometers from Huidong County, 120 kilometers from downtown Dongguan, and 130 kilometers from downtown Shenzhen.

Imperial View Peak National Forest Park covers an area of 20,000 mu, featuring diverse and undulating terrain. Its highest peak stands over 1,100 meters above sea level, while the lowest point is around 60 meters. The park enjoys a mild and humid climate year-round, with an average annual temperature of 20°C. Rainfall from May to September accounts for over 80% of the annual total, and the frost-free period lasts as long as 320 days.

The forest in Imperial View Peak National Forest Park is dense, with a forest coverage rate of 85%. Natural broadleaf forests, trees, grasses, and vines grow in richly layered and vibrant diversity. Natural ecological features such as spectacular mountains and waters, serene valleys and streams, cascading waterfalls, cave formations, and ancient, notable trees are scattered throughout, creating an exceptionally beautiful landscape.

Imperial View Peak National Forest Park is a suburban forest park that integrates many characteristics—lofty mountains, lush forests, crystal-clear waters, unique rocks, deep valleys, abundant trees, and refreshing air. With its steep peaks, dense woods, glistening waters, flourishing trees, rugged stones, and profound valleys, it forms a series of enchanting natural landscapes.

According to the master plan of Imperial View Peak National Forest Park, the forest park focuses on a forest ecological environment and will integrate a forest bathing area, calm water beaches, water amusement parks, cave exploration, an international eco-conference center, leisure and vacation facilities, religious sanctuaries, forest villas, a golf driving range, a soccer field, a tennis court, and more into one comprehensive leisure resort. The forest park is divided into three levels: forest park — functional zone — scenic area. Functional zones are divided into protected areas and sightseeing zones, using protection to promote tourism. Scenic areas include the Yan Rock Scenic Area, the Grand Forest Scenic Area, the Imperial View Peak Reservoir Scenic Area, and the tourist reception area.

The Yan Rock Scenic Area is the core section of the entire park. It currently features 600 mu of plum orchards, which attract large numbers of visitors from both within and outside the city when the plum blossoms bloom in winter. Plum blossoms are the theme of Imperial View Peak National Forest Park. During the 2004 New Year’s Plum Blossom Festival, visitor numbers reached over 60,000, with a peak flow of more than 5,000 people. “Viewing Plum Blossoms in Lianghua” has become a popular local travel highlight. The famous contiguous plum grove, “Plum Viewing at Yan Rock,” attracts batches of eager tourists around New Year’s each year. They come to admire its beauty, enjoy its fragrance, and appreciate the elegant charm of its sparse branches, ancient and robust trunks, and fresh, fragrant blossoms in the “sea of fragrant snow.” The plum blossoms are graceful in color, proud and frost-defying, with a refreshing fragrance. Their spirit, posture, color, form, and scent are all exceptional. Along with pine and bamboo, they are known as the “Three Friends of Winter”; together with pine, bamboo, and chrysanthemum, they are referred to as the “Four Gentlemen,” and are deeply loved by people.
