Yanzhou Island

The only island town in Huizhou City, Guangdong Province — Yanzhou Administrative District, Huangbu Town, Huidong County. Yanzhou Administrative District is located in the southeastern part of Huidong County, Huizhou City, bordering the South China Sea’s Honghai Bay to the south. It is an inland island within Kaozhouyang, covering a total area of 44.7 square kilometers, with the island itself spanning 3.6 square kilometers. The town has a total population of over 15,000. It is a small island town based on salt production, fishing, and agriculture, and also incorporates industries such as manufacturing, trade, and tourism. Featuring primitive fishing villages, basic shops, markets, and restaurants, it is neither bustling nor noisy. The Hongcun Forest area is densely inhabited by hundreds of egrets. Yanzhou is a fishing village beloved by photography enthusiasts, offering entirely unspoiled natural scenery.

The charming Yangwu Beach features flat sands, rugged rocks, and crashing waves — a perfect spot to relax and unwind. It’s not exactly desolate, but it lacks many man-made attractions. Its clean and fine sandy beach exudes the briny scent of the sea. Twisting reefs hide oddly shaped stones, while the gently sloping beach stretching for miles offers equally captivating views of the nearby sea — often attracting many photography enthusiasts who come here to await sunrises and sunsets.
