The Former Site of the Headquarters of the Guangdong–Jiangxi–Hunan Border Column (Huangsha Primary School) is a cultural heritage site protected by Huidong County and a classic red tourism attraction.

The former site of the headquarters of the Guangdong–Jiangxi–Hunan Border Column is located at Huangsha Primary School in Huangsha Village, Andun Town, Huidong County. The building is a typical Hakka enclosed house ("upper three lower three" layout) constructed with rammed earth, mud bricks, tiles, and wood, featuring white walls, gray tiles, and a flush gable roof. It was initially built in 1939 and completed in 1940. At that time, it served as the school building for Huangsha Primary School, comprising five classrooms and two teachers' dormitories, covering an area of over 300 square meters.

From late December 1948 to mid-January 1949, in order to implement the directive to establish solid base areas during the Liberation War and push the guerrilla war into a new phase, the Guangdong–Jiangxi–Hunan Border Region Committee held its first plenary meeting at Huangsha Primary School under the arrangement of the Hong Kong Branch of the CPC Central Committee. The meeting was presided over by Yin Linping, Deputy Secretary of the Hong Kong Branch of the CPC Central Committee and Secretary of the Guangdong–Jiangxi–Hunan Border Region Committee. The meeting conveyed important directives from the CPC Central Committee regarding the southern guerrilla war, reviewed and summarized the work of 1948, and studied and planned military, economic, and mass mobilization efforts. During the meeting, the Hong Kong Branch of the CPC Central Committee relayed a telegram from the Central Military Commission approving the establishment of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Guangdong–Jiangxi–Hunan Border Column. The Central Military Commission appointed Yin Linping as Commander and Political Commissar, Huang Songjian as Deputy Commander, and Zuo Hongtao as Director of the Political Department. The column’s headquarters was set up at Huangsha Primary School.

The former site of the headquarters of the Guangdong–Jiangxi–Hunan Border Column was designated as a county-level cultural heritage site by the Huidong County People’s Government in 1987, and as a Huidong County patriotic education base by the Huidong County Party Committee and County People’s Government in August 1986.
