Longgui Village Waterfall is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Longgui Village Waterfall is located in Kongxia Village, north of Tangkeng Town, Fengshun County, Guangdong Province. It lies 8 km from Tangkeng and 13 km from the county seat, originating from the Shijia Mountain Range—the second highest in Fengshun at an elevation of 1,285 meters. The waterfall is hailed as the “Huangguoshu Waterfall of Guangdong” and the “No. 1 Waterfall of Eastern Guangdong.” It stands 125 meters tall, with a drop of 115 meters, a width of 62 meters, a catchment area of 40 square kilometers, an average annual flow rate of 3.5 cubic meters per second, which increases to 6.7 cubic meters per second during the rainy season.

High mountain waters plunge down from a hundred-meter cliff amid roaring sounds, transforming into dozens of white dragons rushing toward the deep pool, bringing with them a misty spray.

Longgui Village Waterfall is 62 meters wide and 125 meters high, with a catchment area of 40 square kilometers. Its average flow rate is 6.5 cubic meters per second, rising to 9.7 cubic meters per second during the rainy season, earning it the title of the No. 1 Waterfall of Eastern Guangdong.

Standing beneath the waterfall, you can see it roar and burst forth from the cliff top, sending clouds and mist crashing into the deep pool below.

Countless water droplets shoot into the air, then transform into cloud-like, fog-like beads that drift with the wind. Sprayed into the woods like summer snow, cascading onto rocks like spring thunder—it stirs the blood.

Longgui Waterfall resembles a colorful ribbon or a cascading snowfall, plummeting down two levels of deep pools. Its powerful impact sends the pool water splashing like flying pearls and jade, with vapor rising like smoke. When mountain breezes blow, it transforms into mist, smoke, and dust. The Tang Dynasty poet Li Bai wrote a famous poem: “Sunlight streams on Incense Stone Peak, and mist rises from the river wide; Like an upended stream the cataract sounds loud; It looks as if the Silver River fell from the blue sky.” This verse fits Longgui Waterfall perfectly. The waterfall area features exotic flowers, unique rocks, serpentine paths, plunging waters, historic sites, and a large group of pothole stones—making it a great destination for visitors.
