Deer Lake Hot Spring Resort is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

The Deer Lake Hot Spring Resort project is located in Deer Lake, Dongliu, Liuhuang Town, Fengshun County. The entire hot spring resort covers an area of approximately 5 square kilometers, with an investment scale of about 200 million yuan. It includes key projects such as a garden-style hot spring area of over 30,000 square meters, 100 individual hot spring-supporting buildings, and a Southeast Asian-style ultra-five-star hotel integrating large-scale business, conferences, convalescence, and leisure, as well as a Chaoshan–Hakka cultural street, an ecological wetland park, Hui Ren Temple, and a Han River water tourism project.

The Han River Deer Lake Hot Spring Resort project features naturally emerging thermal spring resources, with an average water temperature of 65°C and a daily outflow of about 900 tons. This hot spring is of the mineral water type, classified as a radioactive radon spring, rich in various trace elements. It can promote metabolism, eliminate fatigue, enhance immunity, and regulate cardiovascular function, offering multiple benefits such as sedation, pain relief, anti-inflammation, and itch relief.

Liuhuang Town: Located in the southeastern part of Fengshun County, on the western bank of the middle and lower reaches of the Han River and adjacent to Chaozhou City, Liuhuang Town borders six other towns within the county. It covers a total area of 161.07 square kilometers, with mountainous areas spanning 203,000 mu, arable land covering 16,000 mu—including 16,600 mu of paddy fields, 2,000 mu of dry land, and 400 mu of fish ponds.

During the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods, Liuhuang Town was part of the Baiyue territory and was also known as Wanjiang City. In the Han Dynasty, it belonged to Jieyang County under the Nanhai Commandery. In the 10th year of the Shaoxing era during the Song Dynasty, the county seat was once located here before being moved to Yujiao Village in Jieyang.
