The Museum of Modern Egyptian Art is located in the heart of Cairo. It is a museum primarily focused on collecting contemporary and modern art, featuring works by Egyptian modern artists as well as foreign artists who have lived in Egypt. As one of Egypt's most important art museums, it enjoys great popularity.

The museum is a three-story building, with several artist sculptures displayed in the small garden in front. Inside, over 10,000 paintings and sculptures are exhibited, showcasing the development and progress of Egyptian art in the early 20th century through the efforts of artists. Most of the paintings are categorized by different themes, and the permanent collection includes outstanding works by Egypt’s most renowned artists, such as Ragheb Ayad, Rageb Ayyad, Mohamed Oweis, and Mohamed Sabry. The masterpieces reflect various aspects of Egypt’s history and artistic evolution from diverse perspectives.

In addition to paintings, the museum also displays many stunning sculptures, most of which focus on Egyptian life—especially rural life—as well as some abstract pieces.
