Dahshur

Dahshur is a large Egyptian royal necropolis located on the desert west bank of the Nile, about 40 kilometers south of Cairo. It is home to several pyramids, two of which are among the oldest, largest, and best-preserved in Egypt. Dahshur is considered one of the most important pyramid fields in Egypt after Giza and Saqqara. Although it remained difficult to access for research until 1996 due to its location within a military zone, relatively little was known about it in archaeology.
