Gaborone is located in the southeastern part of Botswana and serves as the country’s capital and largest city, as well as its economic and political center. It is one of the fastest-growing cities in Africa. The scenic city is laid out in a harmonious manner, with white buildings interspersed among lush green trees and blooming flowers, creating a vibrant and enchanting picture that captivates visitors.

Gaborone boasts wide streets lined with lush trees, where birds sing and flowers bloom, exuding a lively atmosphere. Major city landmarks include the National Library, Art Gallery, Stadium, churches, a 43-meter-high water tower, as well as recreational facilities such as a fully equipped golf course and tennis courts. About 5 kilometers from the city center, on the Notwane River, lies a dam that not only supplies water to the city but also offers visitors great spots for boating and swimming. The most notable museum in Gaborone is the National Museum of Botswana, established in 1967 and considered the country’s most important museum. The Botswana National Botanical Garden is also not to be missed—it is the first botanical garden in Botswana and allows visitors to see the country's unique flora.
