National Museum of Serbia

The National Museum of Serbia is the oldest and largest museum in Serbia, established in 1844 and located on Republic Square. Since its inception, the museum has housed over 400,000 foreign items in its collection, including the famous Miroslav Gospel.

The collections at the National Museum of Serbia mainly include archaeological artifacts, numismatic collections, medieval items, historical relics, Italian artworks, collections of French art, Japanese art, Russian art, Australian and German art, as well as Cubist works and collections of Yugoslav and Serbian art. The museum boasts an enormous and exceptional number of artworks that surpass those typically found in most museums.
