Sirogojno Village

Sirogojno Village is a small mountain village in Serbia, located near the Zlatibor Mountains. Every year, the village hosts a fashion show primarily to showcase hand-knitted woolen items made by women living in the Zlatibor region. During the summer, Sirogojno also holds a summer workshop where visitors can learn traditional crafts, including pottery making, weaving, inlaying, and painting techniques.

The Serbian Orthodox Church in Sirogojno was built in 1764 in honor of Saints Peter and Paul. In the village, there is an outdoor museum, also known as the “Old Village Museum.” Covering an area of 15 hectares, the museum houses local artifacts from the Zlatibor region dating back to the 19th century. It also displays a series of traditional wooden houses, including a bakery, dairy shop, cheese-making workshop, and inn — offering an authentic glimpse into 19th-century Serbian life and allowing visitors to gain deeper insight into Serbian culture and history.
