Zrenjanin

Zrenjanin is located in the eastern part of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina. It serves as the administrative center of the Central Banat District, the largest city in Banat, the third-largest city in Vojvodina, and the sixth-largest city in Serbia. The city is well known for its rich cultural and historical heritage.

Zrenjanin features an abundance of historic architecture, with some structures standing out due to their style, decoration, or grandeur, making them the most notable buildings in the city. The Zrenjanin City Hall is the most recognized and photogenic building in the city, having appeared on numerous postcards for over 100 years, making it an enduring architectural icon. The Zrenjanin National Museum, established in 1906, houses and exhibits historical artifacts ranging from prehistoric times to the 20th century, covering archaeology, ethnography, natural sciences, history, and art. The Church of the Assumption, built in 1746, is the oldest church in Zrenjanin. This Baroque-style church survived a major fire in 1807 and is now a nationally protected historical monument. Other historic sites worth visiting include the Eiffel Bridge, the Dry Bridge, the Little Bridge, and the Zrenjanin Cathedral.
