Nesvizh Castle Complex of the Radziwill Family
The Nesvizh Castle Complex of the Radziwill Family is located in central Belarus. It was built by the Radziwill dynasty starting in the 16th century and completed by 1939. The Radziwill dynasty produced many significant figures in European history and culture. Thanks to their efforts, Nesvizh had a major influence on science, art, crafts, and architecture.
The Nesvizh Castle Complex of the Radziwill Family includes a residential palace, the Corpus Christi Church, and the surrounding landscape. The palace consists of 10 interconnected buildings forming a hexagonal courtyard complex. Architectural prototypes of such significant structures as the palace and the Corpus Christi Church reflect the development of architecture across Central Europe and Russia.
